Description
The gentleman top hat blue sky greetings card known as The Illusionist's Pause by artist Tim Pearson centres on a figure of quiet elegance. A man with dark hair and a prominent black moustache stands facing forward, dressed in a dark suit, crisp white shirt and tall black top hat. His expression is thoughtful and composed, set against a vast bright blue sky filled with billowing white clouds.
The large soft clouds frame him almost like a stage, adding a layer of gentle surrealism to the realistic portrait. There is a sense of pause and poise, as if this distinguished gentleman has stepped out of ordinary time into a moment of calm reflection. The deep blacks of his hat and jacket contrast with the crisp white of his collar and the luminous sky beyond.
Printed on Mohawk Superfine 324gsm matte card, this fine art greetings card measures 7 x 5 inches and is blank inside, ready for your own message. The back carries the artwork title and a small QR code linking to the full-size print, and it comes with a kraft envelope.

Care
Caring for your print
- Keep it out of direct sunlight. Strong sun fades any print over time, so pick a wall that doesn't get it all day.
- Avoid damp and steam. Bathrooms and spots right above radiators or kettles can make paper ripple and canvas slacken.
- Handle unframed prints by the edges, ideally with clean, dry hands. Store them flat or loosely rolled, never folded.
- Dust frames and glazing gently with a soft, dry cloth. Don't spray cleaner straight onto the acrylic, and avoid paper towels, which can scratch it.
- Dust canvases lightly with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Don't use water or cleaning products on the printed surface.
- Unframed prints are standard A sizes, so they fit off-the-shelf A4, A3 and A2 frames.
